We LOVE Kansas
We arrived in Kansas last week & we have fallen in love! We're very happy to be here! I posted some pictures on our blog if you're interested. Brett, we are so excited for your mission call! We aren't too far from Tulsa so if gas prices don't go to $100 a gallon we might go check it out. We hope everyone is doing well!
Love you all!

HAVING FUN IN THE SUN
This past week Sarah, Austin and I were able to spend some time with mom, dad and brett at the beach house.
It was a lot of fun as you can tell by the pictures. It was a little cool for half the time and sunny and warm for the last half. Austin loves the ocean and couldn't get enough of the sand and the water.
We literally had to keep pulling him back from the water because he wanted to go deeper and deeper. Thanks mom and dad for a great weekend.

Pictures to share
After looking thru some of my pictures...I realized I had several with cousins that I've been hiding on my hard drive. I am sorry I'm not better about sharing these "gems"--so for the family to enjoy here are a few moments captured on film with my family. Greg and Sarah came for a quick visit in January. We decided to finally visit the "new" old ghost town in the Superstition Mountains. It, unlike these pictures, is NOT a gem...it's a money trap in the dirt. It was fun however to spend time with Greg, Sarah and Austin. We had heard they were draining canyon lake and we wouldn't be able to go waterskiing so we finished the drive to see if we could find any of Dad's sunglasses in the bottom of the lake-this is what we found--

Hi Mom and Happy Mother's Day!!!We hope you are having a wonderful Mother's Day down in Carlsbad and enjoying Dad being home.
We are all going great. Tanner's a great little pitcher on his team, and made the winning run yesterday. Sydney is our resident artist and we are proud to host her latest works. Thomas is our t-ball man and loves to hit that ball. Morgan is our 2-year old and is learning and growing up so fast it scares us.

Every time I see the lily of the valley in the back yard it reminds me of you, and the fun times we had at your mom and dad's home. I hope the transplant is successful and yours does well in Carlsbad.

Love,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM
Yee ha we are one of the first to post here. I hope this idea works out. This should be a great way for all of us to keep up on what is happening with everyone.
Well Mom, happy birthday and happy mothers day. You have set such a high standard for all of us on how a parent should act and treat his or her children. Thank you for being a great mother and friend.
The following two pictures are of me and my family in Chicago. The first one is at Wrigley Field. We didn't get to go in, but we got to stand out side. As the person said that was with us, "it gives me chills just standing by it." To be honest all I could think of was Ferris Buellers Day Off.
This picture is us at Navy Pier. I assume it was a naval pier at one point in time, now its just a tourist attraction with ferris wheels and yachts.

We had a ton of fun and are already planning our next trip when we get back from Kansas. there was a lot to see in Chicago and we missed a lot of it because we couldn't navigate around all the one-way streets. Oh well.
Thanks for helping us to be here! We love you mom!

Happy Mother's Day
For your birthday and mother's day we couldn't think of a better present to get the woman who has it all than to have your children connected and thinking of you. We hope to keep this blog updated with fun pictures of our families, triumphs and trials, read Brett's letters, see pictures or updates from Dad in China, videos of all the grandkids growing and changing so quickly, and of course have a dose of parentally advise from Mom. We love you and are thankful for your sacrifice and love. Happy Birthday Mom and Happy Mother's Day!
